A total of 150 gamblers were arrested on Friday night, along with gambling equipment and over THB11 million (US$308,257) in Hat Yai, Thailand, according to local media.
Two separate raids took place in the night, with the first on a three-storey building on Soi Pracharak, arresting 125 gamblers and seizing THB11.3 million. The gambling den was reportedly run by an ex-politician.
The second operation saw 25 gamblers apprehended on Lop Buri Ramesuan Road, along with documents detailing the pawning of cars and motorcycles.
The investigation is ongoing.
