Adelson seeks land for Singapore expansion

Sheldon Adelson, the billionaire chairman of Las Vegas Sands, has asked the Singapore government for more land to add room capacity at its Marina Bay Sands Resort. Adelson told a press briefing that he wants to add 1,500 rooms to the 2,563-room resort. Adelson said the hotel is running at 100 percent occupancy, or 98 percent on a bad day.
