AGA president to testify at IRS public hearing

The American Gaming Association president and CEO Geoff Freeman will testify at the Internal Revenue Service public hearing on June 17, the AGA announced.

The IRS hearing will focus on proposed regulations about the use of player management systems for tax reporting.

Earlier this month, the AGA filed comments on the IRS proposal for mandatory electronic player tracking regulations using player loyalty cards for tax reporting purposes.

The IRS may also consider lowering the winnings threshold from $1,200 to $600.
