The American Gaming Equipment Manufacturers Index recorded its 30th monthly year-on-year gain in March, though was down slightly from the prior month.
The composite index is up 36.8 percent since March last year, though compared with February 2018, the index fell 1.62 percent to 505.15 points.
Seven of the 12 global gaming equipment companies saw their share prices rise from the prior month, with six falling, including Everi Holdings, which posted a double-digit decline.
The biggest gainer on the month in percentage terms was PlayAGS, which recorded a 12.3 percent increase from the prior year.
The March performance of the AGEM Index paralleled the three major stock market indexes. The S&P 500 reported a month-to-month decrease of 2.69 percent to 2,640.87. The Dow Jones Industrial Average decreased 3.70 percent to 24,103.11, while the NASDAQ decreased 2.88 percent during the period to 7,063.45.
The biggest drags on the index were Scientific Games, whose share price decline took 3.43 points off the index and Aristocrat Leisure, which accounted for 5.8 points to the downside.
