AIGF supports ban of high denomination notes

The All India Gaming Federation (AIGF) has welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative to scrap Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 currency notes.

Roland Landers, CEO of AIGF said the initiative would be key to put a restraint on corruption and black money in the country.

“Facts depict that over the last two-and-a-half years, India’s global ranking on corruption has moved only to 76th position from 100th earlier,” he said.

“This clearly shows the extent of corruption in the country and there is still a long way to go, but this is going to be one crucial step towards the change we all wish to see. As an organization on on behalf of our members we have always been supporting regulation and legislation in the gaming industry,” he added.
