Ainsworth Game Technology H1 profit jumps 62 percent

Ainsworth Game Technology said its first-half profit after tax rose 62 percent to $35.7 million, boosted by sales in South America and the state of Victoria. Revenue gained 26 percent to $121.8 million, with international revenue up 33 percent and domestic revenue up 23 percent. South American revenue, which accounts for about 70 percent of overseas sales, surged 380 percent. Revenue for Victoria jumped 383 percent.
