Health Bureau tests showed 28 of 44 gambling venues failing to meet air quality standards. All four casinos operated by Las Vegas Sands and MGM's lone casino passed, but the city's other four operators all had at least one venue fall short of the rules put in place when smoking was restricted to half of floor space. Those who fail to meet the standards could have their smoking area further reduced. Sixteen of the 28 venues cited are run by SJM Holdings Ltd. Complete reports were not submitted to the government for two unnamed venues. The report re-questions the impact the regulation on gaming revenues.
