Ambrose So expects gaming decline to slow in 15Q4

The CEO of gaming operator SJM expects the gaming revenue decline will slow down in the fourth quarter, TDM Macau reports.

After a poor 15Q3 performance for SJM in which net profit dropped by 80 percent, Ambrose So hopes the fourth quarter will yield more positive results.

“We didn't perform very well in the third quarter as we have already reserved some it into areas such as the stock market. We have already announced the result and we hope the decline of the entire market in the fourth quarter can slow down a little so that everybody can take a breath”, he was quoted by TDM as saying.

So added that construction of SJM’s upcoming Cotai resort is going smoothly, with completion expected in 2017.

He emphasized that only 10 percent of Lisboa Palace's area will be reserved for gaming as the company moves towards the idea of diversifying their business.
