Aristocrat agrees to sell Japanese operations to Fields Corp

Aristocrat Leisure Limited has agreed to sell its Japanese operations to Japan-based Fields Corporation. 

The sale incorporates Aristocrat’s entire Japan operations, including KK Aristocrat Technologies and KK Spiky. 

“Following the Group’s announcement of its decision to exit the Japan market on 21 April 2015, an opportunity arose which ultimately led to an agreement with Fields Corporation. The transaction completed concurrently with the signing of the sale and purchase agreement,” the company announced.

In an April filing to the ASX, the company said it was exiting the Japan market due to the “significant” effort needed to reduce performance volatility in the Japan business.
