Aristocrat Asia revenues down

Aristocrat Leisure posted a year-on-year increase in profit of 16.9 percent for FY2013 of $107.2 million, in line with analysts’ estimates. Revenues in Asia Pacific were down 7.1 percent due to lower buying activity in Macau and influenced by regulatory change. Excluding new openings, revenues outside Macau and Singapore grew over 20 percent as the group continues to broaden its presence in the region and the re-entry into the Korean market. Group overall revenue before EBIT was $145.3 million, with lower than forecast tax expenses of 20 percent offsetting slightly lower than expected performance in Australia and Japan. A dividend of 7.5 cents per share was recommended.
