Aristocrat Leisure six-month profit gains 9.1 percent

Aristocrat Leisure said its profit in the six months to end-March rose 9.1 percent to $57.4 million, helped by growth in the U.S. and a five-fold increase in online gaming operations.

The company said it had achieved top market share in the New South Wales and Queensland markets, adding it’s the first time since 2010 the company has had a leading position in Queensland. On a reported currency basis, revenue gained 7.6 percent to $412.5 million, though on a constant currency basis, it was down 2 percent.
