Resorts World Sentosa has been fined S$2.25 million ($1.7 million) by the Singapore Gambling Regulatory Authority for failing to perform due diligence checks when receiving cash deposits. GRA already canceled the special employee licence for one of the employees involved in the breaches, and is conducting further investigations. Meanwhile, a report found out that ID check’s were the most efficient responsible gaming feature enforced by the industry in Macau, followed by employee training.

The Singapore Gambling Regulatory Authority imposed a S$2.25 million ($1.7 million) fine on Resorts World Sentosa for failing to perform due diligence checks when receiving cash deposits. RWS allegedly failed to comply when receiving cash of S$5,000 or more from third parties to deposit into customers’ accounts.
