Association fears casino entry ban will cause inconvenience

A Macau gaming workers association has expressed concerns that barring casino staff from casinos would cause unnecessary inconvenience to the affected workers.

Head of the New Macau Gaming Staff Rights Association, Cloee Chao instead proposed that workers be banned from gaming instead.

The entry ban, which comes into effect in 2019 - will see all gaming staff and frontline casino workers banned from entering casinos while off-duty.

The law was created in an attempt to prevent gambling-related harm amongst casino workers, who have been seen as at high risk.
