The 29th annual Australasian Gaming Expo set a new attendance record with 8,638 visits, a seven percent increase over the 2017 expo, already a record year.
The 2018 Expo featured 237 exhibitors, covering a broad spectrum of hospitality suppliers including beverage, food, cash security, furniture, staff uniforms, paging and communications, signage and displays, building services, AV, financial services and of course gaming.
Riva Ice Cream was at the show again serving ice cream. CEO Jeff Cantor said he got “more leads than we would normally expect and (we) expect a significant number to convert”.
Around the corner, the winner of the “People’s Choice Award” for the best-presented stand, Hennessy Handcrafted Coffee’s John Hennessy commented that “2018 AGE continues to deliver quality leads”.
Meanwhile, speaking on behalf of the Commercial Kitchen Company, Robert Van den Bergh commented that he got “more new leads from new areas of Australia, especially regional. A lot of leads from the last two shows have now converted to customers”.
Returning in a bigger format this year, the Australasian Gaming Expo featured a well-attended, three-day seminar program - co-produced with Asia Gaming Brief, which covered a variety of topics of interest to the hospitality and gaming industry, with several sessions being standing room only.
The Australasian Gaming Expo attracted visitors from 26 countries with strong showings from New Zealand and the USA and more than 92 senior executives from Asia. Many overseas visitors were in awe of the high standard of professionalism of the event’s management.
Next year’s Expo will be held from the 13th to the 15th of August, 2019.
