Australia wants stricter laws for gambling apps

A virtual poker machine game has been named as the country’s highest grossing phone and tablet app, causing critics and regulators to call for legislation.  The game was exempt from the Interactive Gambling Act because the winnings cannot be cashed out.  Independent Senator Nick Xenophon has said he will file for legislation in February when federal parliament resumes.
