Bloomberry looks at casino venture in Argentina

Bloomberry Resorts Corp., the parent company of Philippines-based Solaire Resort and Casino, said it has established another subsidiary, Solaire de Argentina SA, with the purpose of exploring investment in a casino in Argentina.

According to regulatory records, Bloomberry Resorts has established the subsidiary and appointed the head of the country’s hotel association, Oscar Alberto Ghezzi, as president of the venture.

Bloomberry said Solaire de Argentina has a proposal to establish an integrated resort in Argentina, but it is still pending evaluation and action of government agencies and regulators.

“The Argentinian subsidiary has already built a work-related website, [solairedeargentina.com], even though the company, according to the grapevine, has yet to secure the regulatory approvals for a hotel-casino site in an undisclosed area in the capital Buenos Aires.”

Solaire de Argentina S.A. is 94 percent owned by Bloomberry Resorts Corporation held through Bloom Capital B.V., a 100 percent Netherlands subsidiary of Bloomberry Resorts Corporation.
