Bloomberry Resorts increases public ownership percentage

Philippine gaming operator Bloomberry Resorts has increased the percentage of its public ownership from 33.9 percent to 37 percent, the group indicated in a recent dispatch.

After the change, some 26.5 percent of Bloomberry's total issued shares also remain under foreign ownership, a rise from the previous 25.1 percent. The group currently has more than 11.5 million issued common shares.

The company headed by Enrique Razon, operates the Solaire Resort and Casino, the company's flagship business, and the Jeju Sun Hotel & Casino in Jeju Island, South Korea.
Bloomberry Resorts released its 1H23 financial results in early August, reporting that its total GGR at Solaire reached PHP 31.2 billion ($554 million), marking a 41 percent increase from 1H22.
This growth has primarily been driven by the domestic market, representing a 110 percent compared to the level recorded in 1H19.
