Bouncing back!

Las Vegas will welcome one of the world’s largest gatherings of industry executives this month with the return of G2E.

The show runs from Oct. 4th to 7th and will kick off with an opening address from American Gaming Association President and CEO Bill Miller, who will reflect on gaming’s road to recovery. He will be followed up by Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak and U.S. Representative Dina Titus, who will speak on navigating Covid and the role of gaming across the state.

“This year’s G2E reflects the resilience, innovation and leadership that’s propelled gaming forward,” Miller said. “We’re excited to welcome a robust lineup of the top names and brightest minds in this industry. These collective insights couldn’t be more important as we forge the path ahead after one of the most challenging years in gaming history.”

Late last year, Wynn Resorts CEO Matt Maddox predicted the gaming industry would bounce back with a roaring twenties-style rebound and so far his prediction has proved correct.

The industry in the U.S. is on track for a record year in 2021, fuelled by both the land-based and online industry.
Maddox will be joining MGM Resorts CEO Bill Hornbuckle and Hard Rock International’s Jim Allen on the keynote stage on the first day of the show to discuss what will drive the industry as we go forward.

As sports betting gains traction in the U.S., the show’s organizers have announced that Arizona Cardinals Owner Michael Bidwill will give the final keynote address.

“The expansion of legal sports betting is deepening fan engagement and driving new business opportunities for sports leagues and teams,” Miller said. “I look forward to welcoming Michael to the G2E keynote stage to hear his unique perspective on the dynamic, evolving sports landscape.”

All participants at the event will be required to show a vaccine certificate and wear face masks at the venue.
In the following pages of our Supplier Special Report, we hear from many of the companies exhibiting at the show. They outline their new product lineups that will be displayed for review and fill us in on what they have been doing in the run-up to the return of live events.
