Cambodia’s casinos get green light to reopen

All casinos in Cambodia have been permitted to reopen, local media reports citing Phay Siphan, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister and Chairman of the Royal Government Spokesperson Unit.

The announcement was made by Prime Minister Hun Sen at the weekly Cabinet meeting.

All properties will need to gain approval from the Ministry of Health and take precautions against Covi-19, the report said, without providing further details.

Cambodia’s casinos shut down from the beginning of April to prevent the spread of Covid-19. According to the U.S. Embassy in Cambodia, there have been 141 reported cases in the country and no deaths.
