Casinos allowing minors to enter to lose license: Pagcor

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp has warned that any casinos permitting minors -- under the age of 21 -- into the premises risk losing their license.

In an advisory, the regulator set out the penalties for those allowing entry of prohibited persons. It didn’t specify whether the ban would be immediate, or stipulate how many offences would lead to the removal of the license.

It also said that any property allowing members of the military or police to gamble would be fined P100,000 per person.

It also forbids gambling for government employees and their immediate relatives and gaming license holders, directly, or indirectly involved in gaming operations. It also bans loan sharks/financiers in all gaming establishments operated and regulated by PAGCOR

The advisory, issued on Dec. 6., will come into force on on Jan. 1.
