China delegation eyes WhitSundays resort


A delegation from the China Australia Entrepreneurs Association Incorporated has visited Queensland’s Whitsundays to lodge a $5 billion bid for one of the two regional casino licenses being offered, local media said. CAEAI president Raymond Wang confirmed the its expression of interest was lodged with the department of state development, infrastructure and planning. In addition to proposals for an integrated resort, Buddhist temple and retail precinct or 'China town', Wang is also proposing to upgrade the Whitsunday Coast Airport for international flights.
