China lottery sales jump 19% in 11 months, led by sports sales

China's lottery sales rose 18.9 percent in the first 11 months of this year to 279 billion yuan ($45.66 billion), led by sports lottery sales, according to Ministry of Finance figures.
Welfare lottery sales rose 16.9 percent to 158.89 billion yuan, while sports lottery sales rose 21.7 percent to 120.16 billion yuan.The ministry attributed the jump to new lottery products, the promotion of quiz-style games and more outlets for online lottery games.
