China lottery sales rise 9.2 percent in January

China’s lottery sales rose 9.2 percent to 27.15 billion yuan ($4.45 billion) in January, driven by a gain in the sports lottery, media reported Ministry of Finance sales as saying.
Welfare lottery sales reached 15.83 billion yuan, up 7.8 percent year on year. Sports lottery sales rose 11.3 percent year on year to 11.32 billion yuan.
