China’s five-year plan is “good news” for Macau

China’s 13th Five-year-Plan will be “good news” for Macau and Hong Kong, according to a spokesman for the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, reports state news agency Xinhua.

Beijing places great emphasis on the role of Hong Kong and Macau in the comprehensive development of People’s Republic of China,  said the spokesman for the annual session of the advisory body, Wang Guoqing during a press conference. There are high expectations for Hong Kong and Macau for the development of China, he said.

 The plan will cover the 2016-2020 period, and will take into account the needs of Macau and Hong Kong and will be reviewed at the upcoming parliamentary session.
