Choy outlines plans for Altira revamp

Andy Choy, property president of Altira Macau and Mocha Clubs plans to revamp the food and beverage offerings at the property and will be re-positioning the Mocha Club, Macau Business reports.

Choy revealed the future of the boutique hotel in an interview with MB, released on Wednesday.

Noting the transition towards the mass market, Choy said Melco’s expertise was providing a range of properties suitable for different segments of the market.

“We’re trying to make each property as different from the other as possible so that we can actually segment the market and so, as a customer, you’ve got your canonical property, the one you feel most at home in”.

One of the areas of the property that will undergo changes, he says, is the food and beverage options.

“We’re trying to dial stuff in… we want to get back to some of our roots here at Altira with the F&B, with really trying to provide unique experiences,” he said.

Other changes will include moving the mass-market focused Mocha Club back as part of Altira.

The move will allow slot players to more seamlessly move between slots and table games.

If you’re a slot experience and want to go at table games, you can pass through,” he said.

However Choy notes that a separate entrance will still allow customers seeking different experiences to access their desired zones without needing to interact.
