Congress asks for insider trading probe over Horseshoe


The Congress party requested a probe by the Securities Exchange Board of India and the Central Bureau of Investigation into whether Manohar Parrikar, the Goa chief minister, or his Bharatiya Janata Party benefitted from insider trading or kickbacks from the approval granted to Delta Corp. to open the M.V. Horseshoe, the country's largest floating casino, earlier this month. Legislator Alex Reginaldo Lourenço claimed Delta shares had moved irregularly over the past month but Parrikar dismissed his claims as baseless.
