Court sets aside personality disorder defense

A Victoria court convicted Wendy Hope Jobson of stealing A$7.8 million ($8.1 million) from hotel group Koroneos Group, her employer, for gambling on the 21nova website. Judge Phillip Priest set aside claims that the theft was the result of a multiple personality disorder.  "Your claim that you did not know what you were doing does not sit well with your actions in deliberately covering up your thefts through false accounting," he said, noting that she had taken money 1,478 times. 21nova is licensed in Gibraltar but not Australia.
