Crown Resorts to get go-ahead to open Sydney casino

Crown Resorts is expected to be given the go-ahead to open a casino at its new Barangaroo resort in Sydney and is advertising for gaming staff, local media reports.
The New South Wales government is likely to meet on Monday to approve an accord reached between the operator and the state's gaming regulator.
The proposed license will be for an initial two-year period. U.S. investment group, Blackstone's takeover of Crown would also be approved, the reports said.
Crown was found unsuitable to hold the license for its casino in 2020, following an inquiry that discovered serious lapses in corporate governance, including money laundering. The operator has also been found to be unsuitable to hold a license in Victoria and Western Australia.
On Friday, Crown Resorts posted job advertisements for its gaming team in preparation for the license being granted, as well as for a general manager for its Barangaroo casino.
