The Chairman of the Philippine Gaming and Amusement Corporation (PAGCOR) says that the country is expecting to achieve gross gaming revenue of approximately $6.1 billion this year, with e-casinos, e-bingo and sports betting contributing some $1.1 billion. In his State of the Industry address at the ASEAN Gaming Summit, Alejandro H. Tengco also outlined the group's plans for privatization of its casinos and the lower tax rates set to come into effect soon.
