Good Morning. Thailand is making a significant stride towards gaming legalization. AGB got a look at the Thai parliamentary casino committee gaming draft bill, which includes proposals such as a 17 percent gaming tax proposal, and estimates Thais will constitute three-quarters of the spending at potentially 5 to 8 entertainment complexes to be built in the Southeast Asian kingdom. Meanwhile, the 6th ASEAN Gaming Summit, Asia’s premier gaming event, will kick off on Tuesday, March 19^th, with speakers, exhibitors and participants already flooding into the Philippine capital to meet at the Shangri-La The Fort. The Summit will start with a special State of the Industry address by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) Chairman and CEO, Alejandro H. Tengco, immediately followed by a Keynote Address by the President and Chief Operating Officer of Bloomberry Resorts Corp, Thomas Arasi.
