Diamond Fortune reveals plans for Selena World Resort, located in Primorye zone

Russian-casino developer Diamond Fortune unveiled its plans for its US$900 million Selena World Resort to the Primorsky Territory Administration last week, local media reports.

Located in Russia’s Primorye gaming zone, near Russia’s Far East, the casino will consist of three distinct areas and gaming floors, Golden Gate, Moon Gate and Sun Casino & Resort, all of which have been approved by the administration.

According to the developer, Sun Casino will be built first, consisting of two hotel towers with 900 hotel rooms, and a gaming floor of 375 tables and 1,800 slots, it will also feature a large promenade adjacent to the lake shore, all of which is scheduled to open in 2017.

Golden Gate will include 576 hotel rooms, 200 gaming tables and 2,100 slots and also features a 350-meter-long ski slope.

Moon Gate will house a mix of four and five star rooms totalling 460, as well as 110 tables and 1,100 slots

The project will be the fourth project in the zone, following Tigre de Cristal, and the project to be developed by NagaCorp and Royal Time.

All three of the complexes will offer additional attractions other than gaming, including restaurants, bars and entertainment venues, cinemas, health spas and retail outlets.

“In developing the concept of our resorts, we focus not only on the game in the casino, but also on diverse family vacation,” said Diamond Fortune’s General Director Georgy Kondakov. “The target audience of our complexes [is 50/50] Russian and foreign tourists, and we will follow their needs.”
