Digital racing publishing business changes head

News Corp Australia has confirmed the appointment of Ben Bloomfield as the new CEO of digital racing publisher punters.com.au, local media reports.

Bloomfield takes over for founder and CEO Luc Pettett, who had been in the business since its opening nine years ago.

Pettett said it was a tough decision to leave the company, but was supportive of Bloomfield’s entrance into the company.

“It’s time to hand over but we know Ben will be a terrific fit for Punters and lead our team.

It is understood that Pettett will be pursuing new ventures.

Bloomfield was previously head of portfolio management and portfolio manager for wagering at Tabcorp.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Punters, a business which has a great culture at its centre and the best and brightest staff providing a world-class platform with so much potential,” said Bloomfield.
