Dispute grounds Chinese casino cruise ship in Korea

Following a petition by Chinese company Jiangsu Shagang, Jeju authorities impounded a cruise ship, the MS Henna, owned by another Chinese company HNA Cruise.  The two companies are reportedly in a dispute over debt,

though this is apparently with another company in the HNA Group that has no connection with the cruise operator.  Kang Tae-sok, a Jeju city official, said that HNA Cruise had sent Won 3 billion (US$ 2.7 million) to its agent in South Korea to satisfy a court requirement in order to secure the release of the ship.  In the meantime, the company had sent planes to Jeju to rescue its stranded passengers.
