Donaco International Ltd has signed a three year deal with Kings Consulting Limited, owner of Poker King Club, to stage international poker tournaments at the Star Vegas.
Poker King Club (PKC), which was founded in 2009 provides both cash game services and tournaments at different levels for all types of players.
PKC currently has three poker rooms under its name: Poker King Club Macau, located at the gaming floor of The Venetian Macao, Poker King Club Manila at the Solaire Resort and Casino Manila, and Poker King Club Korea at Maison Glad Hotel Jeju.
Under the deal, PKC will stage a minimum of three international poker tournaments at the Star Vegas, under a range of potential brands, including the Thailand legs of the Asian Poker Tour and World Poker Tour.
The parties will conduct joint marketing campaigns for the tournaments, including marketing to PKC’s network of players across Asia and globally. Revenues and costs for the tournaments will be shared, according to Donaco’s filing to the Australian Stock Exchange on Monday.
The deal, which commences on July 1, 2017, represents the first step in Donaco’s strategy of increasing the utilisation of available capacity at Star Vegas, and increasing visitation to the property from players located in Thailand and across Asia.
