Dorsett executive joins betting commission

Hong Kong Chief Executive C.Y. Leung appointed four new members to the city's Betting and Lotteries Commission, including Winnie Chiu, president of Dorsett Hospitality International Ltd. Far East Consortium International Ltd., Dorsett's parent company, was to develop a casino resort complex in Cotai, Macau as part of Las Vegas Sands Corp.'s "Cotai Strip" plan but the deal was abandoned after several years of talks. Other new commission members include Viola Man, Jennifer Ng and David Wong.
