Dynam changes chairman and board

Dynam Japan Holdings announced a raft of changes to its board including the appointment of a new chairman, just a day after it was announced the company will be entering the resort business.

The company said that Yoji Sato has ceased to be the chairman of the board and instead been appointed as senior corporate advisor, with effect from 24 June 2015. He will be replaced by Kohei Sato.

Following the AGM, Haruhiko Mori was appointed as an executive director of the company with effect from 24 June, while sweeping changes were also made to the composition of board committees.

The shuffle follows an announcement Dynam Japan made that it will venture into resort development, which it sees as “a promising new business.”

The company said it it well placed to move into the resort sphere as it has been operating pachinko halls for 48 years and has hired two to three hundred new university graduates annually since 1989, who have expertise in various aspects of operation and management of facilities.
