Evolution of the ATM

As the use of cash reduces the ATM is quickly evolving to meet our digital payment needs.

Having an ATM to dispense cash to their patrons will remain a core service for any pub or club however with more services being moved to smartphones it is time for the ATM to adapt to how people are managing their payments and cash.

Banktech is fast-tracking this evolution of the ATM with their Cash Connect ATMPlus and visitors to this year’s AGE will be able to see what’s available now and what’s just around the corner.

“We are transitioning the ATM into the digital age”, says Henry Kiwarkis, GM Sales at Banktech.

“We have taken a traditional ATM and added new hardware and software to offer a much wider range of transactions to eventually include depositing funds into mobile wallets, paying bills, withdrawal of cash from cryptocurrency accounts – even converting foreign exchange. The possibilities are endless”.

The first new feature of Cash Connect ATMPlus is the ability for club members to pay ATM fees with their loyalty points. Now available and in use, Pay With Points is gathering increased interest, in particular from those venues looking to value-add to their loyalty programs.

The Banktech team will also be demonstrating how to use Cash Connect ATMPlus to top up digital wallets.
