The second edition of the European Fantasy Sports Summit (EFSS) will showcase an international string of Daily Fantasy Sports evangelists and business owners who will delve into the emerging issues surrounding DFS.
Held on the second day of the Summit of iGaming Malta (SiGMA), one of the most high-profile speakers for the event is Jeffrey Haas, chief international officer at DraftKings, who will initiate a discussion on the challenges and opportunities in the DFS sector.
He will later be joined by Hampus Hagglof, CEO for FSport AB, in a panel session on emerging themes in DFS.
“The EFSS provides a terrific chance for sports providers and operators to get together to discuss the topics at hand, and also for the audience to become fully informed on all goings-on in the fantasy sports sector during one session,’’ explains Hagglof. “We’ll be tackling how the fantasy concept can be applied to several sports, starting with American football and expanding into baseball, ice hockey, formula one, cricket, and cycling, among others. Furthermore, we’ll explore how fantasy sports fits alongside the standard offering of gambling operators.”
Other topics on the summit’s agenda include: ‘DFS players as customers for online gaming’, ‘Engaging the millennial generation through innovation’, ‘Fantasy sports of the next generation’, and ‘Fantasy sports as the ultimate customer acquisition tool’.
Ivan Filletti, Head of Operations and Business Development at GamingMalta, says “We are delighted to be hosting and producing the second edition of the European Fantasy Sports Summit at SiGMA.
Having a dedicated event that highlights the emerging themes and focuses on future-proofing the DFS sector in Europe also positions Malta as a jurisdictional thought leader.”
The European Fantasy Sports Summit is taking place on November 29 at 2.30 pm, at the MFCC in Ta’ Qali.
