February GGR headed for 10-11 percent increase

Macau’s gross gaming revenue month-to-date is estimated at MOP 16.3 billion (US$2 billion), with last week’s performance slightly lower than expected, said Bernstein.

The average daily rate has been MOP 858 million, although last week’s ADR was MOP 614 million, down 25 percent week on week.

Bernstein said that VIP in the last week was weaker than the previous, due to the “VIP luck factor falling marginally to below 3 percent level.”

With MOP 580-600 million in ADR estimated for the remainder of February, the month’s GGR will be in the range of MOP 21.5 billion to MOP 21.7 billion, representing an increase of 10 to 11 percent year-on-year, said Bernstein.
