Former NagaCorp COO Mark Brown to head Saipan casino

Imperial Pacific said it has appointed Mark Brown, the former chief operating officer of NagaCorp, as president and chief executive of its $7.1 billion casino resort project on Saipan.
Brown has also headed up Las Vegas Sands’ Macau properties and worked as president and CEO of Trump Entertainment Resorts.
“Mr. Brown is uniquely qualified to helm ultra-large scale operations from the ground up and
strategize for long term growth,” the company said in a Hong Kong Stock Exchange filing.
“Mr. Brown established himself as one of the world’s most respected experts in the unique sector of high-end Asian gaming and junket operations.”
The company said the Saipan resort will be targeting mainly Asia-based customers, so Brown’s past experience in both Asia and U.S.-based operations makes him an ideal candidate.
Brown announced last month that he was stepping down from NagaCorp to pursue other interests.
