Galaxy, Melco and Venetian launch integrated bus service

Three of Macau’s gaming operators have announced they will be collaborating to refine their shuttle bus routes, jointly launching the “Cotai Connection”.

According to a press release from Galaxy Entertainment, the “Cotai Connection” is “an upgraded shuttle bus service that will facilitate the transport of visitors around the Cotai Strip.”

Galaxy Entertainment Group, Melco Crown Entertainment and Venetian Macau Limited are involved in the new service, which is said to optimize pick-up and drop-off points.

The new service will commence from June 6, 2016 for a trial of three months.

Operating hours will be from 11:30am to 10:30pm daily with 15 to 20 minute travel intervals between stops. Both the East and West Route will stop at Galaxy Macau, Broadway Macau, Studio City, City of Dreams, The Venetian  Macau and Sands Cotai Central.

The enhancement is said to not only reduce the number of shuttle buses travelling between hotels, but also help streamline the shuttle bus routes and improve visitors’ overall experience.

One of the complaints frequently made by visitors to Macau is a lack of transport infrastructure from the ferry terminals and border points and between casinos themselves.
