Gambling research center gets $5.4 million budget

 
The government set a four-year budget of $5.4 million for the new Australian Gambling Research Centre. The independent center, which will operate under the Australian Institute of Family Studies in Canberra, is to launch July 1 and will study ways to assist problem gamblers and prevent problem gambling.
