Good Morning. Out with the old, in with the new. A recent study conducted over a decade in the Australian state of Victoria revealed a decline in traditional gambling participation but a significant increase in online gambling. The research found that while overall participation decreased slightly from 2008 to 2018, online gambling rose dramatically from 4.8 to 19 percent during the same period, with a corresponding decrease in land-based venue-only gambling.
Meanwhile, the UK Gambling Commission has announced that Bet365 will have to pay a hefty fine for anti-money laundering measures and social responsibility. Moving to Macau, brokerage Citigroup noted that all baccarat tables equipped with smart gaming technology could help operators grow their gross gaming revenue without the need to increase foot traffic into the casinos or reduce operating expenses.
