Macau’s gaming service quality reached record highs this year, scoring 132 points, according to data released by the Macau Gaming Research Association, reported by Macau Business Daily.
The 2016 Gaming Service Index, measures the service quality among nine frontline casino departments including security, dealers, slot machines, cashier, membership, cloakroom, free F&B, toilets and shuttle bus services.
The latest results saw Macau’s gaming operators achieve 132 points compared to the base of 100 points in 2013.
Of particular note was that the average gaming service index of local dealers, which reached a record high of 144 points in the second half of the year. Customer service staff and cashiers also recorded an improvement in service quality compared to the base.
On the other hand, the service performance of those engaged in the security and slot machine field slipped in the second half of the year.
The association said it is planning to expand its research scope in 2017 given the new openings of casinos in the city. It added it plans to segregate the index for casinos on the Peninsula and those in Cotai.
