Genting reignites plans for Sri Lanka

Malaysian gambling giant, Genting Group, has said that it might partner with a local company to make use of its existing casino license, since the approval of any new licenses is not likely.
Sources say that Sri Lankan entrepreneur Dhammika Perera could be a possible partner, given that he has three casino approvals, as well as the small casinos he currently runs in the country. Genting already has a small presence in Sri Lanka through a 25 percent stake in the Union Bank of Colombo.
