Goa pollution board rejects casino ship pollution claims


Goa’s state pollution control board has denied that casino ships are causing pollution in and around the River Moldovi. The board, which was replying to an affidavit filed before the National Green Tribunal, stressed that the disposal of bilge and oily waters needs to be monitored in the same way as sewage disposal is monitored. But it denied there have been pollution problems.
