Macau GGR in the first week of October came in higher than expected, reaching MOP 9.1 billion (US$1.1 billion), according to channel checks from Bernstein.
MTD ADR was MOP 1.3 billion, up 78 percent compared to September ADR of MOP 732 million which was affected negatively by Typhoon Mangkhut.
The result was still 23 percent higher than the first week of October 2017.
Bernstein said that the Golden Week period saw visitor arrivals to Macau up 7.2 percent year-on-year, with visitors from mainland China up 14 percent.
Looking to the remainder of the month, Bernstein said it estimates October GGR to be in a range between MOP28 billion to MOP29 billion, an estimated year-on-year increase of 5-8 percent compared to October 2017.
