Government considers bill to tackle online gaming addiction

MPs in S. Korea are considering a bill which would classify online gaming as an antisocial addiction in the same category as gambling, drugs and alcohol.  Legislation would limit advertising as well as take 1 percent of all revenues to create a fund to help prevent and treat addiction.  The bill has the support of conservative MPs, parents and religious groups, but has alarmed the online gaming industry whose entrepreneurs are valued for their innovation. They say the bill would be a death knell for their industry.
