GPI Touts Successful Las Vegas G2E

Gaming Partners International returned to the Global Gaming Expo held at the Sands Expo in Las Vegas highlighting its vast array of innovative products.  Customers and visitors were drawn to GPI’s booth, which was outfitted with its beautiful and elegant gaming tables and its expansive suite of table game products and accessories.

GPI is recognized as the industry leader when it comes to offering the latest product innovations for live table games. One of its newest currency products are its Paulson Premium chips.  “We have taken our dealer preferred traditional Paulson chip and added an outer ring made of the same décor material used in our high-end BG plaques and jetons.  The result is a one-of-a-kind chip that still feels and handles like a Paulson but has the added elegance of a plaque,” says GPI’s Executive Director of Global Marketing, Maricela Maciel.  The décor does not interfere with a customer’s ability to customize the chip’s outer ring with their own branding or include any of the various available security features including RFID.

Another new currency innovation shown at G2E is the new B&G V-Series chips. “Our V-Series chips were designed to offer a whole new range of versatile edge spot patterns that can be created with a choice between two different size decals.  This is especially important for our customers in Asia where the need for differentiation among cash and non-cash sets is vital on the gaming floor,” noted Ms. Maciel.  “In addition, these chips are produced using a completely new injection material developed by GPI which renders a more durable chip.” The B&G V-Series chips are available with all of the same innovative security features as our B&G JAV injection molded chips.

Visiting GPI’s booth it was hard to miss the beauty and quality craftsmanship of their gaming tables and furniture.  “Customers have a wide range of design options when it comes to the design of their tables including natural woods and leathers as well as laminates and synthetic materials.  In addition, we can customize our table and pit podium designs to fit the individual needs of each and every customer,” says Ms. Maciel.

Several of GPI’s show tables were set up with RFID technology.  Of special note, was GPI’s new and exclusive SMART RFID offerings. SMART offers the latest advancement in casino currency RFID technology and when used with GPI’s Chip Inventory System (CIS) software, SMART delivers a complete currency tracking and authentication solution.  GPI offers all the necessary components from SMART RFID currency, to both the antennas and readers.  “GPI has dedicated time and research into developing our SMART RFID products. We listened and worked with our customers to bring to market a new and more attainable RFID option.  San Manuel Casino was our very first SMART customer, which was huge since we hadn’t yet fully marketed the product.  SMART offers the same capabilities of traditional RFID but with faster chip reads, smaller readers, and a more attainable price point for smaller customers,” says Ms. Maciel.

GPI also held several mini Hot Poker Spot tournaments during the show giving players the opportunity to win a 300 poker chip set.  GPI’s Hot Poker Spot has taken the traditional Texas Hold ‘Em poker and added an optional side bet.  It’s great for the players as their chance of winning the Hot Poker Spot side bet is not tied to winning the pot therefore providing the player another opportunity to win.  It is also great for the casino as it provides a second revenue stream source from one table.

Ms. Maciel adds, “This year’s G2E was successful for us.  It is always exciting to meet with customers and highlight our new products as well as showcase our complete range of table game products and accessories.  At the end of the day, GPI is the only true ‘one stop shop’ as we manufacture and distribute all of our core products; gaming currency, gaming furniture and layouts, playing cards and dice.  Our customers are our priority and we are committed to providing the products they need for a successful and streamlined table games floor.”
