Grand Lisboa Palace begins hiring staff

SJM Holdings has announced that it has begun large-scale recruitment for staff to serve at the Grand Lisboa Palace in Cotai.

According to the statement, about 600 mostly non-gaming positions were offered to almost 2,000 local applicants at a recruitment event held at the Grand Ballroom of Grand Lisboa Hotel from August 21 to 23.

Chairman Daisy Ho commented, “SJM gives priority to recruiting local talent for job openings and is dedicated to promoting career advancement for local employees. As a milestone development of SJM on Cotai, the Grand Lisboa Palace is organizing a series of recruitment activities in preparation for its opening. Through multi-channel promotions and collaboration with various organizations, we aim to reach diverse groups of job-seekers in the community.”

The Grand Lisboa Palace is expected to open by the end of 2020, subject to obtaining necessary operating permits.
